SUMMARY:HIV Learning Network: Learning from the Real World: Interprofessional HIV Cases: Part II
DESCRIPTION:Register \n\n\nJoin us for the next HIV Learning Network session on April 13 @ 12:00pm (Pacific) for Learning from the Real World: Interprofessional HIV Cases\, Part II​\,  moderated by Daniel Lee\, MD\, AAHIVS\, HIVLN Clinical Director\, and Clinical Professor of Medicine\, Owen Clinic\, UCSD. \nDescription: This is a continuation of our March 9th session to discuss the second case prepared. The HIV Learning Network (HIVLN) is a learning community of healthcare providers of all levels of experience offering HIV-related services to patients/clients in the Pacific region.  HIVLN faculty are comprised of a team of experienced HIV healthcare professionals that can offer recommendations to providers seeking advice for patients with complex clinical and psychosocial needs.  In this case-based session\, we will learn about a clinically complex HIV case presented by Guy Vandenberg\, MSW\, ACRN\, and discuss what clinical and supportive healthcare options can be provided to best serve these patients’ health needs. \nLearning Objectives:\nUpon completion of this session\, participants will be able to: \n\nReview some of the challenges in clinical care for patients living with HIV who struggle with adherence\nDiscuss the pros and cons for changing treatment to improve adherence\nExplore multidisciplinary approaches to optimize care for clinically complex patients with HIV\n\nPhysicians:\nThis activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the University of Nevada School of Medicine and the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center.
